The Children’s Literature Writers’ Group will be meeting in June on the 1st and 15th (Wednesdays) in the Special Collections room of TPL. Meetings will last from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm.
At this meeting, local children’s author, Kathy Brodsky (https://kathybrodsky.com/) will discuss her experience becoming a successful author of children’s books. Kathy is a clinical social worker, poet and author. She writes books that are timely, visually exciting, educational and fun! In addition to reading for fun, teachers and parents often use Kathy’s books to promote social awareness in their kids. The stories and discussion questions engage and help readers see how the challenges of the characters are similar to those in their own lives. To date, her books include 16 rhyming picture books and one book for adults.
