Here is a message from the author:
Greetings Friends!
It is with much enthusiasm and excitement that I share this news with all today! As February, Dental Health Month approaches, I would like to invite you to help educate your children about dental health. My colleague Dr. Watman and I worked collaboratively to create a wonderful story book for children to learn about what to expect when they visit the dentist. We have been working together for almost 25 years and realized that we had a story to share with our young patients, parents, caregivers, and teachers! We cannot wait for you to read it. Tayla Makevich, an artist and special education teacher at Tyngsboro High School, brought the page of this story to life with her beautiful illustrations.
The book titled Natalie and Noah Visit the Super Clean Dental Team is an easy to read, upbeat story which was written to help prepare children for a trip to the dentist. The many changes recommended by OSHA, The CDC, and the American Dental Association due to COVID- 19 have introduced the world to a new normal. These necessary safety precautions in dentistry are explored and explained in a whimsical way for young readers to understand.
You and your child will love following along as the main characters, Natalie and Noah learn that under the masks, gloves, goggles, face shields, and hair caps, The Super Clean Dental Team is truly composed of everyday people who love children. Your child will be excited to follow the characters through each step of their journey, while learning what to expect at their next trip to the dentist.
We will be visiting the library on February 22 for a dental education session. We will be covering educational topics such as proper brushing and flossing techniques, proper nutrition and will also be providing information about what children can expect when visiting the dentist with all of the new and necessary COVID-19 precautions now in place.
Sincerely,
Susie Barros, RDH & Author
