  • Storytime

    - Storytimes for 3-5 year olds:  Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. Drop in and enjoy stories, hand rhymes, music and maybe a seasonal craft. September-May.

    -Tiny Tots Storytime for infants - 3 year olds will be held on the first and third Wednesdays at 11:00-11:30 a.m. Join Miss Deb for stories, music and hand rhymes. Drop in! Sponsored by Community Teamwork, Inc. October-May.

    -Books & Babies music program for toddlers will be held on the first Satuday each month, October-April from 10-11:00 a.m. Join Miss Leigh for music and more! *No program in December.


  • A Supernatural Evening
    A Supernatural Evening

    Wednesday, November 4 at 6:30 p.m.

    Jeff Belanger, author, host of the PBS New England Legends series and leading lecturer on legends and paranormal phenomena, will explore the unexplained: ghosts, monsters, and legends all over the world and in your backyard.

    Refreshments will be provided. Registration is required.

    This program is supported in part by a grant from the Tyngsborough Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the  Massachusetts  Cultural Council, a state agency.

    Second Saturday from October - May from 10 – 11:30 a.m. 

    Grades K - 6. Registration required.

    Guinness is a registered Reading Education Assistance Dog. Read aloud to Guinness (and his handler) for 15 minutes, one-on-one for fun and as a confidence builder.  It's great encouragement for reluctant readers! Walk-ins welcome on day of program if space is available.

    Grades K-2 at 10-11 a.m. and Grades 3-5 at 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

    We have the legos - You bring the creativity. Lego creations on display at the Library until the next month.  Drop in.

    Fall Book Sale, Saturday, October 17, 8:30 a.m. -2:30 p.m.

    Preview for members of the Friends, Friday, October 16, 7-9 p.m. 

    Also on sale will be dvds, art pieces, gently used scarves and jewelry as well as a plant sale by the Tyngsboro Garden Club and baked goods. 100% of the proceeds of this sale goes toward purchasing Children's books, Museum passes and support for Library programs.

    Wednesday, October 28, 7-8 p.m.   

    Dracut author Claire Ignacio and Tyngsborough's Dave Hudon will sign and discuss their new book, "Memories of Lowell." Share your memories of Merrimack, Moody and Central Streets as you reminisce about Rochette's Diner, Marie's Oyster House, "Kelly the candy man" and dancing in Kearny Square at the end of WWII. Talk with the authors and bring a story or two to pass along! Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

    Zombie Makeup for Teens!

    Wednesday, October 14, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

    Teens age 13 and up. Registration required.

    Get ready for Halloween! Learn how to do your own zombie look by professional makeup artist, Julie Leshane.  Each participant will be transformed into a zombie by the end of class.  This zombie look can be recreated for Halloween, small budget films or zombie runs.  Please be aware of participants allergies to latex or creme based makeup.  Both will be used during the workshop.

    Elaine Katkowski will help you get to the next point in your career. This class will give you tools to help get the career you want by taking the next step toward your goal. Plan to discuss the Job Performance Wheel, discuss what stops us from making progress and review some techniques to help you get to the next point.  

    Registration preferred, but not required.




Staff Changes

Carol Sides has retired from her position of Senior Library Technician after 28 years of dedication and service to the Library community. 


Sandy Geoffroy, staff member since 1998, has assumed Carol's position. When visiting the Library, please take a minute to wish Sandy well in her new role.




The Tyngsborough Public Library and Tyngsborough Town Hall are located in the same building.
From the North or South, take Exit 35 East (Route 113) off US Route 3. After approximately 1 mile take a left on to Bryants Lane.
