    Storytime

    - Storytimes for 3-5 year olds:  New day: Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. Drop in and enjoy stories, hand rhymes, music and seasonal crafts. 

    - Books and Babies  music program for babies and toddlers is held on the first Saturday of the month from October - May at 10:00 a.m (No program in March). Miss Leigh shares music, rhythm instruments, scarves and even a parachute!  No registration required. 

    -Tiny Tots Storytime for infants - 3 year olds will be held on the first and third Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. Join Miss Deb for stories, music and hand rhymes. Drop in! Sponsored by Community Teamwork, Inc. March update: Tiny Tots will be on March 4 and 25.

    R.E.A.D.

    Second Saturday from October - May (No program in March) from 10 – 11:30 a.m. 

    Guinness is a registered Reading Education Assistance Dog. Read aloud to Guinness (and his handler) for 15 minutes, one-on-one for fun and as a confidence builder.  It's great encouragement for reluctant readers!  For Grades K - 6. Registration required.

    Lego Club meets on the 3rd Saturday in September and from November - May

    Grades K-2 at 10-11 a.m. and Grades 3-5 at 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

    We have the legos - You bring the creativity. Lego creations on display at the Library until the next month.  Drop in.

    Free tax counseling and preparation for taxpayers with middle and  low incomes, with special attention to those 60 and over.  You do not have to be a member of AARP or a retiree to use the service.

    Our tech advisor will be available on Tuesdays, 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. and Wednesday evenings, 7-8 p.m.

  • Open Minds: Yoga and Literacy for Children
    Open Minds: Yoga and Literacy for Children

    Weekly classes for 3-5 year olds to be held on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

    New sessions starting in March 2015.  Eight week sessions on: March 17, 24, 31/April 7, 14, 28/ May 5, 19

    Classes will incorporate yoga movement and breathing into simple literacy activities. Taught by yoga instructor and children’s book author Ellen Olson-Brown. Registration required.

    A pastel workshop with award-winning pastel painter Gregory Maichack. All materials are included: pastels, pastel paper and pencils. Registration required.

    First Saturday of the month September - May.

    Ages 5 – teens 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. Teens -Adults 12:00-1:30 p.m.

    Go is a fun, easy to learn game of strategy for all ages! Invented in China over 4,000 years ago, the game of Go takes only a few minutes to learn.  The rules are simple, yet computers still haven't been able to beat the best human Go players. Come learn & play the game of Go. Just drop in!

    NEW! Introducing a very special storytime called Cuentos a las cuatro/Stories at Four. Join students from the THS Spanish Honor Society as they read stories in both Spanish then in English. Learn words in Spanish and maybe enjoy some music or other activities. For ages 5-8. Drop in!

    Video Game Design Workshop for Teens

    Wednesday, March 11, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

    Think playing video games is fun? Try making them. This video game design workshop introduces teens to the fundamentals of designing a video game and then they create a game! Games can be played at home (MS Windows-only). * Theme: UFO Landing: Navigate your rocket ship through the Mars landscape to safety. But be careful not to go to fast and crash! A challenge to play, but more challenging to make. Presented by Empow Studios.
    Ages 13 and up. Space is limited. Registration required.
