  • Storytime

    - Storytimes for 3-5 year olds will be held on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. Drop in and enjoy stories, hand rhymes, music and seasonal crafts. Will resume on September 10.

    - Books and Babies  music program for babies and toddlers is held on the first Saturday of the month from October - May at 10:00 a.m (No program in December). Miss Leigh shares music, rhythm instruments, scarves and even a parachute!  No registration required. Will resume on October 4.

    -Tiny Tots Storytime for infants - 3 year olds will be held on the first and third Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. Join Miss Deb for stories, music and hand rhymes. Drop in! Sponsored by Community Teamwork, Inc. Will resume on September 17.

  • R.E.A.D.

    Second Saturday from October - May (No program in December or March) from 10 – 11:30 a.m. Guinness is a registered Reading Education Assistance Dog. Read aloud to Guinness (and his handler) for 15 minutes, one-on-one for fun and as a confidence builder.  It's great encouragement for reluctant readers!  For Grades K - 6. Registration required.

  • Lego Club
    Lego Club

    Lego Club meets on the 3rd Saturday in September and from November - May (No program in October). For grades K-2 at 10 a.m. and grades 3-5 at 11 a.m. This will be creative play with the Lego creations on display at the Library until the next month.  Drop in. 

    Parents and caregivers, please remain on the Library premises if your child is under the age of 10.

    Lowell Spinners

    Take me out to the ball game...Pass entitles bearer to up to SIX half-price tickets for the game stated on the front of the pass. Pass must be exchanged in person at the Spinners Box Office (can be done in advance). Call the Library or check the Museum Pass Reservation System online for details.

  • Open Minds: Yoga and Literacy for Children
    Open Minds: Yoga and Literacy for Children

    Classes will incorporate movement/yoga and breathing into simple literacy activities. Taught by yoga instructor and children’s book author Ellen Olson-Brown. 
    Two new weekly classes for 3-5 year olds to be held on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. 6 week session running September 23 - October 28. Registration required.

    Magic: The Gathering Club

    First Wednesday in October - May, 3:00-5:00 p.m.

    Do you love Magic: The Gathering card game? If so, this is the club for you! Bring your own cards/decks to play and trade with other fans. Snacks will be provided. Enter a monthly raffle for a booster! Grades 6 & up.  Drop in.

    Dads & Donuts

    Fourth Saturday from September - April (No program in December) from 10 - 11:00 a.m. 

    Dads & Donuts playgroup for infants and toddlers and their dad, granddad, uncle or other male caregiver. Drop in for munchkins, juice, playtime and making new friends. Funded by Community Teamwork, Inc.

  • Go Game Club
    Go Game Club

    First Saturday of the month September - May (No December meeting). 

    Go is a fun, easy to learn game of strategy for all ages! Invented in China over 4,000 years ago, the game of Go takes only a few minutes to learn.  The rules are simple, yet computers still haven't been able to beat the best human Go players. Come learn & play the game of Go. Just drop in! 

    Ages 5 – teens  meet from 11- 12 p.m. Teens may also join the adult session, which meets from 12:00-1:30 p.m.

Then our new Teen Writing Group is for you! Join us for the first meeting on Wednesday, September 17 with guest YA author, Adi Rule, who wrote Strange Sweet Song. She will share her writing experience and a Q&A session. Drop in. Ages 13+


  • Happiest Baby Workshop
    Happiest Baby Workshop

    Thursday, September 18, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

    Happiest Baby Workshop is for parents with newborns to new walkers. Presenters will cover baby massage and baby yoga. Parents – please bring a blanket or towel for baby to lie on. Funded by Community Teamwork, Inc.Registration required.
