    Do you like cartoons? Do you like Legos? Have you ever wanted to create your own animation? Working together as a team, learn the basics to create an animation using the famous Lego bricks. Using simple techniques and equipment, you can bring your story and characters to life. Deadline to register: Tuesday, February 20.

    Ages 6-12. Registration required.

    Take an exciting look at the world of dry ice through a series of fun experiments! Learn the secrets behind the bubbling potions while answering the question, “What do you think this weird ice cube can do?” Children are amazed by this “cool” class and take a thermo-color-changing cup home for the experiments to continue! Funded by the Friends of the Library.

    Live Coding Music DJ Party

    Thursday, February 22, 1:00- 3:00 p.m.

    Grades 5-12.. Registration required.

    Learn to code music and dynamic graphics on the fly (hence, "live" coding).  Imagine kids producing techno beats with code at the same time projecting 3D graphics on the wall. Funded by the Friends of the Library.

    Storytime for 3-5 year olds  Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. Drop in and enjoy stories, hand rhymes, music and maybe more. Pick up a Storytime Passport and earn a stamp each week. Maybe you’ll earn a prize! Drop in. *No regular storytime on Thursday, February 22 .

    Wellness 2018: Vision Board Workshop

    Wednesday, January 31, 6:45 p.m.

    Use a vision board to focus on what you desire for 2018. Stephanie Kirylych, holistic health coach, will help you get clear on your goals and create your own vision board. Creating a space that displays what you want actually does bring it to life! The workshop will end with a powerful group meditation. Adults and teens welcome! Stephanie will provide supplies. Registration is required.

    Book an appointment for an individual lesson or consultation on any of the following tech topics: computer basics, android tablets & phones, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, OverDrive digital downloads for Nook, Kindle or android devices.

    Consultations are held on Tuesdays, 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m., Wednesday evenings, 7-8 p.m. and at other times pending the availability of the Tech Advisor.

    An appointment is required, so call to reserve a time!

    Open Minds: Yoga and Literacy for ages 3-5 years

    Six week class for 3-5 year olds. Classes will incorporate yoga movement and breathing into simple literacy activities. Taught by yoga instructor Ellen Olson-Brown. Registration required.

    Jim Naugler of Citizens Bank will get you started with these essential workshops. Registration preferred, but not required.
