How do I get a library card? PDF Print E-mail
Just present a picture ID (MA driver's license preferred) plus something which shows your current address, such as a license, a bill, etc., at our Circulation Desk. Post office box numbers are not eligible as proof of address, although we can set your mailing address in your record to a P.O. Box.

If you already have a library card from a Merrimack Valley Library Consortium (MVLC) , you can use it here without further ado. Only a few of our services, such as access to e-resources purchased by our library, are restricted to Tyngsborough residents.

If you live in another MVLC town and have not yet obtained an MVLC library card, please go to your local library and register. You will be able to use your new card here immediately.

If you have lost or misplaced your library card, a charge of $1.00 will issued for a replacement.
All library cards whether issued to an adult or child are governed by Chapter 78, Section 7 of the Massachusetts General Laws .

For All Other Massachusetts Residents
All Massachusetts residents are welcome to use our library. Please present your home town library card, a picture ID, and a license, postmarked envelope, or other item that bears your current address, to our Circulation Desk.
