    Meet the Author: Ted Reinstein, Wicked Pissed: New England’s Most Famous Feuds

    From sports to politics, food to finance, aviation to engineering, to bitter disputes over simple boundaries, New England’s feuds have peppered the region’s life for centuries. Reinstein, reporter for WCVB-TV’s nightly news magazine, Chronicle, will bring to life many of the spats and arguments that have shaped the area. Free and open to the public.

    Ukulele Workshop for Teens & Adults

    Wednesday, November 8, 6:30-8 p.m.

    Learn how to play a ukulele in 90 minutes at this workshop hosted by ukulele teacher extraordinaire, Julie Stepanek. Julie will teach the fundamentals of ukulele playing and and have you strumming a song by the end of the evening! It really isn't hard! Ukuleles will be provided or you can bring your own. Funded by the Friends of the Library.

    Registration required. (No need to register if you have your own ukulele!)

    Book an appointment for an individual lesson or consultation on any of the following tech topics: computer basics, android tablets & phones, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, OverDrive digital downloads for Nook, Kindle or android devices.

    Consultations are held on Tuesdays, 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m., Wednesday evenings, 7-8 p.m. and at other times pending the availability of the Tech Advisor.

    An appointment is required, so call to reserve a time!

    Open Minds: Yoga and Literacy for ages 3-5 years

    Five week class for 3-5 year olds.

    Classes will incorporate yoga movement and breathing into simple literacy activities. Taught by yoga instructor Ellen Olson-Brown. Registration required. *No class on Tuesday, November 7.
